New photos have been released showing the recent multi-million-pound refurbishment of a luxury spa resort. Hoar Cross Hall, near Burton, is located around a 35-minute drive from Derby, and home to a wide range of spa facilities.

The Barons Eden-owned hotel is one of Europe’s largest and most luxurious spas, and underwent a major £14 million revamp last year. It is set in a 150-year-old property with 97 bedrooms, three restaurants and award-winning full-service spa – all of which received significant makeovers in 2021, Staffordshire Live reports.

Now, new pictures have given those thinking of going on a relaxing weekend away at the Maker Lane venue this spring a look inside. As part of the refurbishments, the hotel updated its décor, with each bedroom upgraded and some even including extra features, such as freestanding baths overlooking the rolling grounds and hot tubs located on private exterior terraces.

The 85,000sq ft spa has also seen a number of improvements, including new treatments perfect for a girly weekend or a romantic retreat. This included the Royal Suite Experience, which offers up to eight guests the undivided attention of their very own private butler, tempting cocktails served by the suite’s personal barman, as well as an overnight stay in Hoar Cross Hall’s most opulent suite.

Also on offer are a Nordic heat and ice suite, hydrotherapy pool, saltwater pool, aqua massage area, detox centre, atrium, snooze room, sanctum, and a relaxation zone.

The luxury resort has been shortlisted for the Best Hotel Spa title in the Good Spa Guide 2022 Awards, which offers an expert guide to showcase the very best of the UK spa industry.
